Triskett Station is Horizon's newest center, and we’re so proud that Center Director Alicia Gresko and her team, including Division Executive for Cuyahoga County Julie Piazza-King achieved this rating in less than two years.
Step Up To Quality is a five-star quality rating and improvement system administered by the Ohio Department of Education and the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. It recognizes and promotes learning and development programs that meet quality program standards that exceed licensing health and safety regulations.
Ms. Gresko has 20 years of experience in early childhood education, 14 years as a preschool teacher and six years as the preschool supervisor at the Family Life Child Care Center. She believes early childhood education is the foundation for every child and she enjoys watching children develop and grow both academically and socially/emotionally. Alicia has a bachelor's degree in education with a major in Spanish from Bowling Green State University.
It’s an achievement that’s been more than 10 years in the making. It started with strategic planning for the building back in 2008. That’s when Horizon’s leadership team first examined the possibilities of expanding the program into the city of Cleveland.
The Triskett Station Center offers enrichment programs for children 18 months to 12 years of age. Our programs focus on language and literacy, social, emotional, and physical development. Horizon guides children with state standards, assessments, and individual learning plans, and we focus on kindergarten readiness and school-age enrichment.
Congratulations on such a wonderful achievement!
