Horizon Education Centers has provided high quality care and education for over 40 years. The Berea location offers enriched child care programs, including infant care beginning at 6 weeks and school-age programs for children in kindergarten through 4th grade. Our programs focus on language and literacy, social, emotional, and physical and development. Horizon guides children with state standards, assessments and individual learning plans, and we focus on kindergarten readiness and school age enrichment. Each of our centers is highly rated by the State of Ohio Step Up to Quality Rating.

ABOUT Jenny has worked in early childhood education for 22 years. She believes that families are a child’s first teacher and that it takes a whole village working together to raise a child.

ABOUT Ms. Katie taught preschool for three years and then began her career with Horizon. Prior to that, she taught toddlers/infants for two years. She believes that Horizon Education Center has the passion to help the children flourish.

ABOUT Ms. Cristina has 12 years of experience in the early childhood classroom. She has worked with all age groups, but her heart is with the toddlers. The excitement that the children have when they learn new things is what makes her job worthwhile.

ABOUT Ms. Cassy has worked with children for more than 30 years, and specifically toddlers for the last 10 years. She believes in nurturing children and guiding them to their full potential. She also believes that having fun is the best way to learn.

ABOUT Ms. Denise started her career in early childhood in 1994 when she owned and operated a family-based child care facility. She worked with preschoolers, infants, and now toddlers. She believes in doing what you love, and loving what you do.

ABOUT Ms. Kristen has worked in childcare for over 18 years. She has worked with all age groups, but most of her time has been spent with infants. She loves to watch the infants learn, grow and develop into their own little personalities.

ABOUT Ms. Ana-Lee has taught preschool for the last 30 years. She cares about educating the whole child socially, emotionally and cognitively in order for them to reach their highest potential. Ana-Lee is an advocate of early intervention, which she feels is the key to a child’s success in elementary school.
EDUCATION Associate Degrees in Early Childhood Education and Arts. She is attending the University of Cincinnati for continuing Early Childhood Education
ABOUT Ms. Denise has worked with children for more than 20 years and has been a preschool teacher at the Berea Family Life Child Care Center for the past 13 years. She looks forward to supporting children in their learning at Horizon.

ABOUT Ms. Traci Salette has been an early childhood educator for nearly 24 years. She enjoys providing an atmosphere of creativity, exploration and fun for young children.

ABOUT Previously, Ms. Joan was a teacher at Family Life Child Care Center. She enjoys providing a nurturing environment with opportunities for the children to grow and learn.

ABOUT Ms. Patty has taught preschoolers for 27 years. She creates a community of learners in her classroom where each student, parent and teacher is a valued contributing member. She believes in creating an environment that fosters a curiosity for the unknown, a desire to learn, and the confidence to explore.

ABOUT Ms. Meagan has worked in childcare for over 30 years, working mostly with children ages infant to kindergartener. She found her passion for teaching preschool children and has taught them for the past 14 years.
