Child Care & After School Care Center

Horizon Education Centers has provided high quality care and education for over 40 years.  Whether you're looking for child care, preschool programs, before - or after-school programs, or summer camp, Horizon offers these enrichment programs for children 18 months to 12 years of age.  Our programs focus on language and literacy, social,  emotional, and physical and development. Horizon guides children with state standards, assessments and individual learning plans, and we focus on kindergarten readiness and school age enrichment.  Each of our centers is highly rated by the State of Ohio Step Up to Quality Rating.

Hours: 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday

Center Director, Triskett Station

EDUCATION Bachelor's Degree in Communication from Hiram College.

ABOUT Chris began his journey with Horizon as a preschooler in 1997. In 2013, he returned as a swim instructor and football coach for Horizon Summer Camp programs. Since then he has worked as an administrator in Finance, USDA Programs and 21st Century before becoming director of Triskett Station. 

Alicia Gresko

Business Coordinator, Triskett Station

EDUCATION Bachelor's Degree in Education with a major in Spanish from Bowling Green State University

ABOUT Alicia has 20 years of experience in early childhood education, 14 years as a preschool teacher and six years as the preschool supervisor at the Family Life Child Care Center. She believes early childhood education is the foundation for every child and she enjoys watching children develop and grow both academically and socially/emotionally.

Shana Hutton Lead S.A.C teacher

EDUCATION Currently enrolled at Cleveland State University to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education

ABOUT Ms. Shana works with students in kindergarten through second grade. She has worked for Horizon for the last four years. Shana has a passion for education, and she wants to pass her love for learning on to the students in the classroom.

Andrea Mitchell Lead Preschool Teacher

EDUCATION Associate of Arts Degree from Lorain County Community College, and Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Ashland University

ABOUT Ms. Andrea has worked at Horizon for two years. She wanted to be a teacher ever since she was a child. Andrea loves to watch children’s light bulbs light up when they grasp the information being taught.
