Our East Lorain location holds a 5 Star Step Up to Quality Rating. 

Horizon Education Centers has provided high quality care and education for over 40 years.  Whether you're looking for child care, preschool programs, before - or after-school programs, or summer camp, Horizon offers these enrichment programs for children 18 months to 12 years of age.  Our programs focus on language and literacy, social,  emotional, and physical and development. Horizon guides children with state standards, assessments and individual learning plans, and we focus on kindergarten readiness and school age enrichment.  Each of our centers is highly rated by the State of Ohio Step Up to Quality Rating

ABOUT Rebecca Wisniewski taught kindergarten for 13 years and then began her career with Horizon. She believes that Horizon Education Center’s heart is in the right place. She enjoys working with the children and the staff at the center and believes that good teamwork is the key to running a successful business, helping the children learn and grow.

ABOUT Mrs. Stephanie loves her students. She enjoys molding her preschoolers and getting them ready for kindergarten. Stephanie enjoys the variety and the fact that there is never a dull moment at the Center.

Ashley Shepherd Lead Art Teacher School Age

EDUCATION Bachelor's Degree in Art Education from Bowling Green State University

ABOUT Ms. Ashley is an artist whose work has been shown in galleries and previously won numerous competitions. She is working on illustrating her first children's book.

Danielle Logar Preschool Lead Teacher

EDUCATION Bachelor's Degree in Middle Grades Education from Ashland University

ABOUT Ms. Danielle has always enjoyed teaching and knew from a young age she wanted to be an educator. Before moving into early childhood education she taught 6th grade English for seven years. She looks forward to working with her preschoolers every day.

Beth Nelson Lead Toddler Teacher

EDUCATION Avon Lake High School, Child Development Associate (CDA) in early childhood development

ABOUT Ms. Beth previously worked in customer service, but after caring for her newborn, she realized her love and passion for teaching children. She started working for Horizon Education Centers in May 2019. Her passion to teach young children in their early years has since continued to grow. 

Rachael Caraballo Lead School Age Teacher

EDUCATION Associate Arts degree with a focus on education from Lorain Community College

ABOUT Ms. Rachael has been with Horizon for four years. Her goal is to build relationships with students and use her passion to show them that learning is fun and amazing.
