The early years of child development are very important. By the time a child reaches the age of six, 90% of brain development has already occurred. During this time, you are setting the educational foundation for your child’s future.
Horizon Education Centers pride themselves on being an institution that exceeds the level of quality in development and learning programs of Ohio’s child care licensing standards, and we are proud to announce that our East Lorain location has received a 5 Star Step Up to Quality Rating, giving us two locations that hold the 5 Star Step Up to Quality rating.
What Does This Mean?
The Step Up To Quality program focuses on providing the necessary requirements of education (held at the three star level) and provides a flexible way for organizations to achieve additional star ratings by going above and beyond in areas that support their values, goals and structure.
We have achieved this level of excellence by:
- Employing teachers who have worked hard to attain their teaching degrees
- Performing ongoing assessments throughout the year to evaluate development and help improve student growth
- Providing written plans for activities during all instructional hours of the day
This is an accomplishment we are proud to have earned at both our South Elyria and East Lorain locations.
