Called the crown jewel of the parks in Lakewood, Ohio, this 31-acre lakefront park — located at the intersection of Belle Avenue and Lake Avenue — offers plenty of opportunities for fun in the sun. There’s an entire kids cove playground area; a foster pool where children can learn to swim and enjoy open swim times; a zero-entry children’s wading pool; four tennis courts; three sand volleyball courts; two softball fields; picnic areas with tables and grills; a 9,500-square-foot skateboard park with areas for all skill levels; and more.

Lakewood Park also offers free children’s movies at the bandstand along with free concerts on Sunday evenings. Lower and upper promenades exist with seats in between.

Madison Park

Lakewood Dog Park

Have a dog or two in the family? The Lakewood Dog Park at 1699 Metropark Drive provides a fenced-in area where you can exercise your dogs, off leash, and allow them to play with other pooches. 

Dogs must be accompanied by an adult owner (or dog handler) with a maximum of three dogs per adult. Children, meanwhile, must be seven years of age or older to enter the park.

Kauffman Park

Located at 15450 Detroit Avenue, Kaufmann Park is another of the parks in Lakewood, Ohio that boasts fun for the entire family.
