Club Day Fun at Summer Camp

horizon_centers_club_dayEvery Friday during summer camp, Horizon Education Centers holds Club Day. The children choose what activity to focus on whether it’s arts and crafts, exercise, flag football, gardening, service learning, cheerleading, or Lego building. We peek each child’s interest in clubs, their input and choice within the clubs helps them form skills to succeed academically. Skills not only focus on the club subject at hand, but also help the community, express creativity, and build responsibility.

The past two weeks, the North Olmsted Horizon Gardening Club has been digging up dirt and new information about gardening. Many of the children realized what hard work a farmer has and working together makes a “job” get done faster and better!  As the summer progresses, both the children’s plants and curiosity in the science of agriculture will grow. Regardless of which club your child selects, there is opportunity for them to make their curiosity into a passion at Horizon Education Centers.
