Horizon Program at Old Brooklyn Community School

Easily accessible from State Route 176 and I-480, the Old Brooklyn Community School provides an afterschool program for children that attend Old Brooklyn Community School. It provides homework assistance and enrichment activities, including hands-on experiments, social skills development, and STEM activities, for a diverse educational experience.

Our Old Brooklyn Community School hours of operation are from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Cleveland State University

ABOUT: Originally, I worked within the mental health field facilitating SEL curriculum to children and adolescents. I began my career in nonprofits as the Social Emotional Learning Coordinator for Boys and Girls Club of Northeast Ohio. I also had the opportunity to be the Assistant Director of Programs for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lorain County. From there I fell in love with after-school programming and working directly with youth and families. I am passionate about empowering and driving youth to their fullest potential through innovative education and programming.
