Child Care Center

Horizon Education Centers has provided high quality care and education for over 40 years.  Whether you're looking for child care, preschool programs, before - or after-school programs, or summer camp, Horizon offers these enrichment programs for children 6 weeks to 12 years of age. 

Our programs focus on language and literacy, social,  emotional, and physical and development. Horizon guides children with state standards, assessments and individual learning plans, and we focus on kindergarten readiness and school age enrichment.  Each of our centers is highly rated by the State of Ohio Step Up to Quality Rating.

Hours: 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday

EDUCATION Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Bowling Green State University

ABOUT  Nick Gresko taught middle school science for almost 10 years and was assistant principal for almost three. He was also a center director for three years, where he took his center from 1 star to 5.  Nick believes communication, having a close staff and excellence in everything we do is the key to an amazing center.  Doing these three things will provide for top-notch education and care for the students and a safe place where students and families will want to send their children to learn.

ABOUT Erin has worked in childcare for 11 years. She loves working with children and families and is dedicated to creating a safe and happy atmosphere for children to grow and learn.

Megan Armbruster Lead Preschool Teacher

EDUCATION Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Kent State University

ABOUT Ms. Megan is the lead teacher in the Green and Blue Preschool rooms. She has worked at Horizon since August 2016. Megan loves reading and being outdoors, and she loves seeing children explore and learn through their curiosity.

Tammy Kasnyik Toddler Teacher Assistant

EDUCATION 28 years experience in child care field

ABOUT Ms. Tammy has worked at Horizon for 3 years, but has 28 years of early childhood education experience. Prior to teaching Preschool students, she taught Toddlers for 22 years.



Sara Kelly Lead Preschool Teacher

EDUCATION Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Cincinnati

ABOUT Ms. Sara started working in a child care setting as a security officer in 2006 in Brecksville. Her director noticed her love for the children and recruited her to be an infant teacher. Sara loves teaching young minds and building a community with her students.

Sue Simpson Administrative Assistant

EDUCATION Associate degree in Early Childhood Education from Cuyahoga Community College

ABOUT Sue worked at Glenview Children’s center in Bay Village for 19 years where she taught toddlers for eight years and then the Pre-K class.  In 2012 she started at Oberlin Early Childhood Center where she advanced her career into administration. She has lifetime of experience that helps her build a strong relationship with you and your family to create an exciting learning experience for your child at the center.  

Marietta D'Silvia School-Age Lead Teacher

EDUCATION Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Biochemistry from the University of Bombay, India.

ABOUT Marietta has worked at Horizon for the past seven years. She leads the OST (Out of School Time) program at the center. She encourages the children to be creative with Lego blocks, Lego Robotics, K’Nex and building blocks. She also nurtures their interest in science by planning hands-on experiments for them to enjoy.

Esther Toroyan Lead Toddler Teacher

EDUCATION Pursuing her Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Liberty University 

ABOUT Ms. Esther believes in a child-focused classroom with her major influencer begin John Dewey. Each child's interest should help guide the lesson so they develop into the creative learners that they are!

Shamir Reeves Lead School Age Teacher

EDUCATION Associate of Applied Science in Early Childhood Education from Lakeland Community College, pursuing a bachelor's degree in education from Cleveland State University 

ABOUT Ms. Shamir has had a passion for caring for children since she was 17 years old. Over the last 20 years, Shamir has gone from assistant teacher to site administrator. Her persistence in gaining knowledge to be a better educator continues to show through her eagerness to teach children. 

Chelise Hurst School Age Lead Teacher

EDUCATION Bachelor’s degree in secondary education and a master’s degree in education administration

ABOUT – Ms. Chelise has worked in childcare for 12 years and just recently moved to the Cleveland area from Portland, OR. She looks forward to teaching children and even learning all that she can while at Horizon. 

Katherine Stocker Lead Toddler Teacher

EDUCATION Bachelor's degree in early childhood education from Cleveland State University
ABOUT Ms. Kate has more than three years of childcare and elementary school teaching experience. She believes in process learning so that kids learn as they create, leading to unique outcomes. She loves working with children and building a teamwork-based relationship with parents.

JoAnna Eberts Lead Infant Teacher

EDUCATION Bachelor's degree in early childhood development from The University of Akron

ABOUT: Ms. JoAnna has been in child care for the last 22 years. She has worked with children ages 6 weeks through 13 years of age. JoAnna loves watching the infants in her room develop, grow and learn new things.
