Kindergarten Readiness
To help your child be ready for Kindergarten, Horizon uses Teaching Strategies Creative Curriculum Gold. This nationally recognized, research-based approach to early learning focuses on center-based exploration and discovery learning experiences with small and large group learning.
Development
The philosophy that drives our educational programming is to help children relate and interact in a group situation by providing intellectual stimulation, as well as encourage social, emotional, and physical development in the classroom. We strive to help children feel comfortable in any peer group in any setting.
Individual Growth
Our dedicated caregivers recognize the importance of individuality. They support preschoolers in interacting and growing at their own pace, while providing a variety of creative experiences that help them along that path.
Nap Time
Preschoolers are offered a nap or rest time, as required by Child Care Licensing. Routines for rest and sleeping are handled in a relaxed manner. Preschoolers will have assigned cots, and they are welcome to bring in a small pillow or blanket for their cot.
