Full-Day Programs for School-Age Children Now Offered at Horizon

Written by David Smith | Wed, Aug 19, 2020 @ 10:30 PM

With enrollment plans differing by the school district, Horizon has developed a new program to help working families. When schools are closed, Horizon will now offer all-day care for school-aged students.

We will assist with online learning during the day, and we have increased our Wi-Fi capabilities so students can participate in online learning without interruption. School-aged children will be able to use Horizon's Chromebooks and tablets to complete schoolwork during the day. Still, due to limited availability, they are encouraged to bring a personal or school-issued device to participate in digital learning.

Our staff will be available to assist with a student’s homework, and children will receive breakfast, lunch, and a snack. In addition to helping with school programming, our all-day program will feature hands-on programs such as art and large-motor play.

Our after school program is available in the morning and afternoon when schools are in session. Transportation will also be available for students to nearby schools.
